Dentures in Kendall, Miami

Losing several teeth changes very specific things in everyday life: what you can eat, how your voice sounds and how much you feel like smiling in a photo. A well-made denture gives back a good part of that.

PureSmile Miami opens November 1, 2026 in Kendall. We will offer custom full and partial dentures, with a bilingual team and with something that matters to a lot of people in this area: if you have a Medicare Advantage plan with a dental benefit, we check how much of the denture it covers, for free and before your appointment.

Types of dentures

Full denture. Replaces all the teeth in an arch, upper, lower or both. It rests on the gums and is held in place by suction and fit.

Partial denture. For when you still have some of your own teeth. It fills the gaps and attaches to the remaining teeth, which also keeps them from drifting into the empty space.

Immediate denture. Placed the same day as the extractions so you don't go without teeth. It needs more adjustments during the first few months because the gums change as they heal.

Implant-supported denture. Anchored to implants instead of resting on the gums. It doesn't move when you eat or talk, needs no adhesive and lets you bite with much more force. It is a very comfortable option if your case and budget allow.

Your dental benefit and how to make the most of it

Many Medicare Advantage plans come with a dental benefit that can cover part of the cost of dentures and of the extractions needed to prepare for them. Not all of them include it the same way: some cover removable dentures but not implant-supported ones, others require a prior review and others don't cover prosthetics at all. It depends on the plan you have, not on luck.

Here is something worth knowing: in most plans, that dental benefit renews every year and whatever you don't use is lost. It doesn't carry over to the next year. If you've been putting off your denture, waiting won't make it cheaper; it only means a year of benefit goes unused.

That's why insurance verification is free, with no obligation. You give us your plan details, we review them and tell you clearly what is covered, what isn't and how much you'll pay out of pocket, with the price in writing before we start. If your plan covers nothing, we tell you that too, and give you the self-pay price and payment plan options.

How the process works

1. Evaluation. We examine your remaining teeth and the condition of your gums and bone, and decide which type of denture best fits your case.

2. Extractions if needed. When there are teeth that can't be saved, they are removed and the area is allowed to heal before the final impressions are taken, except with an immediate denture.

3. Impressions and molds. We take precise impressions of your mouth so the fit is right.

4. Try-in. Before it's finished, the denture is tried in to check your bite, height and appearance, and anything that needs it is adjusted. Your opinion counts here: if something doesn't feel right to you, it gets changed.

5. Delivery and adjustments. We fit your denture and schedule follow-up adjustment visits. One or two touch-ups in the first weeks are almost always needed, and that's normal; it doesn't mean the denture was poorly made.

The first few days, with realistic expectations

We'll be honest about this, because it makes the difference between someone who adapts and someone who leaves their denture in a drawer.

For the first few weeks it feels strange. Your mouth will feel full, you may produce more saliva than usual and some sounds may be hard to say at first. It's temporary. Reading aloud for a few minutes a day helps.

For eating, start with soft foods cut into small pieces and chew on both sides at the same time so the denture doesn't tip. Within a few weeks things will start to feel normal again.

If you get a sore spot or a point that rubs, don't put up with it or file it down yourself: come in and we'll adjust it. A five-minute adjustment saves weeks of discomfort.

Care and lifespan

Clean it daily with a soft brush and mild soap or a denture cleaner, never with regular toothpaste, because it scratches the resin. It's best to take it out at night and keep it in water or a cleaning solution so your gums can rest.

A denture usually lasts between five and eight years. It's not that it breaks; it's that your mouth changes: the bone gradually resorbs, and at some point the denture stops fitting and needs to be relined or remade. If it starts to move or rub, that's the sign.

Frequently asked questions

Does my Medicare Advantage plan cover dentures?
Many Medicare Advantage plans include a dental benefit that can cover full or partial dentures and the necessary extractions, but coverage varies from plan to plan. We verify yours for free and tell you clearly, whether it's covered or not.

How long does it take?
It usually takes several visits over a few weeks to take impressions, try in, adjust and deliver. If extractions are needed first, add the healing time.

Do dentures move when I eat or talk?
A well-fitted denture stays reasonably stable, although upper dentures hold better than lower ones because of the anatomy of the mouth. If you want one that doesn't move at all, the option is an implant-supported denture.

Can I switch from a removable denture to a fixed one?
Yes, with implants. It's a change that people who have worn a removable denture for years tend to really appreciate.

What if I don't have insurance?
We'll still see you, with a set price before we start and payment plans.
