Dr. José Andrés Parra is the dentist at PureSmile Miami. He earned his dental degree from the University of Zulia (Maracaibo, Venezuela) in 2001 and practiced in Venezuela from 2002 to 2019 as a general dentist, with extensive work in restorations, crowns, veneers and implant-supported prosthetics.
In Florida he went back to training in order to practice here: he completed the two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at Nova Southeastern University (2024–2026) and holds a Florida dental license, number DN 32253. He is currently also completing a Master of Science in Dentistry and the AAID Implant MaxiCourse at NSU.
Checkups and cleanings together with the hygienist, fillings, crowns and bridges, veneers, dentures, implant crowns, root canals on front teeth and premolars, and extractions. The most complex surgical cases, such as bone grafts or full-arch treatment, are performed by Dr. Yoan Suárez Zayas, DMD.
He sees patients in English and Spanish.

Trabajó cuatro años como ceramista dental en Florida, estratificando y dando color a coronas y carillas de cerámica. Por eso cuida el color, la forma y el ajuste de cada pieza que te pone.
Cuando hay varios dientes dañados o faltan piezas, arma un plan por fases (coronas, puentes, carillas, coronas sobre implantes o dentaduras) para que veas el camino completo y el precio por escrito antes de empezar.
En su residencia de dos años en Nova Southeastern University atendió casos complejos y pacientes con condiciones médicas o necesidades especiales. Si tomas medicamentos o tienes diabetes, lo tiene en cuenta y se coordina con tu médico cuando hace falta.

He spent four years as a dental ceramist in Florida, layering and shading ceramic crowns and veneers. That's why he pays close attention to the color, shape and fit of every piece he places.
When several teeth are damaged or missing, he builds a phased plan (crowns, bridges, veneers, implant crowns or dentures) so you can see the full path and the price in writing before you start.
During his two-year residency at Nova Southeastern University he treated complex cases and patients with medical conditions or special needs. If you take medications or have diabetes, he takes it into account and coordinates with your physician when needed.
