Usually 4 or 5 visits over 3-6 weeks: impressions, bite record, wax try-in, delivery and one adjustment. If extractions are needed, the plan changes and we explain it first.
The first weeks are an adjustment period: start with soft food and read out loud to get used to it. Follow-up visits are there to fix any sore spots.
Not always. Over the years your gums change and the denture gets loose. Sometimes a reline is enough; if it's worn or broken, a new one makes sense. We assess it at your visit.
Many plans include them, with frequency or dollar limits that vary by plan. We check your plan for free and tell you what it covers before your visit.
It usually lasts 5 to 8 years, with relines as your gums change. Taking it out at night and cleaning it daily makes it last longer and protects your gums.
A regular denture costs the least but can move. A snap-on denture clips onto 2-4 implants and comes out for cleaning. A fixed arch doesn't come out and is the most stable, but also the biggest investment. It depends on your bone, health and budget: we show you all three with prices before you decide.
For the lower jaw, often yes: two implants are usually enough to stop the denture from moving when you eat. The upper jaw usually needs more. We decide with your 3D image and explain why.
Call us first: depending on the break, many can be repaired without making a new one. Don't glue it with household glue, which can damage it and make the repair harder, and keep all the pieces.
